Smiling- In the Corporate culture

Situation 1: Meeting room with harsh comments and heated up discussions, You are confident of your point and so is the other person, that is why he yells at you, shouts so as to prove his point correct. What a mild smile does at this point of time is dismiss his anger. Its nothing personal between you and him regarding the point of debate, however this smile is absolute personal and a gesture that i like yous level of dedication for the debate and lets take it in a sporting spirit.

Situation 2: You had a bad meeting, all the points of your discussion were rejected. Your client is exhausted, and will yell at you for the rubbish argument with no results. He wants to show his anger that he could not inside the meeting room. Give him a mild smile, and let him fall in believe that every thing will be taken care of. Let his emotions flow out without responding much in return. Sometimes to stay quite with a sweet smile is what act as an effective medicine for a bad ache meeting.

Situation 3: Its some big official holding a position of power, and all he needs is some bundle of notes before he will grant his permission for the case. Its illegal, but you don’t have any other way out. A smile even in this case will help you. Help for what?? For negotiating a better deal for the trade. Every human likes to be liked and smile is a great gesture that you like the person in front of you, despite his being so mean and hungry for money.

Situation 4: You are here to sign a deal, chances are low. Irrespective of the weak points in your proposals and merits of your competitors proposal, what comes handy is a fake confidence and a lovely smile. Contract is already gone to your competitor, or it is in the last stages of being honored to your opponent, Smile for your last chance. You never know, the party might just love your attitude for the fight, or in any case you would be in the good books for them always.

Whatever the situation may be, smiling at it will give them a massage that you are not afraid of the situation. Irrespective of the strength of your opinion, your attitude is what will shine and you never know what the selection criteria is, the Opinion or THE ATTITUDE.

Blogging to Writing….

Blogging is a Journey, a transformation fro being an immature tinker to a professional writer.

While reading other blogs, i find it most comman, that the writer at the blog is either a professional writer, or is aspiring to be one. Writing is an addiction, which though takes so much of time to infect, but once infused, the person will keep on craving to create something, provide something to the society, which satiates his personal goals. While is it obvious that the seed to develop a writer is already infused in the person, i believe that wordpress hepls us too, to develop the need to write. I love the onelines which comes, when we publish our post and this yummy “Your next Target is” Screen occurs.

I have developed a habit to copy these one liners and post them into my twitter account, so that i can read them later and feel motivated to write. I would like my fellow blogger also to get benefit out of these one liners, so here is a list of Word Press’s One Liner peice of motivation:

I’m writing a book. I’ve got the page numbers done.
Steven Wright

I have made this letter longer, because I have not had the time to make it shorter.
Blaise Pascal

The first step in blogging is not writing them but reading them.
Jeff Jarvis

The desire to write grows with writing.-
Desiderius Erasmus

Sometimes when I think how good my book can be, I can hardly breathe.- –
Truman Capote

To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere without moving anything but your heart.-
Phyllis Theroux

There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are. –
W. Somerset Maugham

Writing is a struggle against silence.

Miracles in life – The Eureka Moment

Do you want a miracle in your life?

Did you ever wish for eureka moment?

“Life is tough for everyone but people don’t seem to bother much. Why is it me that I have to take all the burdens and live with it, pretending to be happy and smiling all the time?”

If these are the thoughts which struck you often, this post is for you. 🙂

I came across a beautiful quote in one of the fellow blogger’s post. It goes something like that, ” A horse is known only to the pain it bear from his jockey and not the win, like the same way, if you feel pain in life, see is as God, giving those pain for a prize you are unaware about.”

Two ways to look at it:

a) There are no super natural things that are going to happen. We make our own destiny or spoil it, with our own efforts. Or,

b) Everything that happens in this life is super natural. It’s the blessing of the god that we walk, we eat, we see and we do, the stuff, which at first looks so ordinary but in fact are miracle.

I have always been an advocate of second school of thoughts. Think when you were a kid, each stuff that looks so normal to you now, used to amaze you. Did you ever think that you would be able to see in person and talk to a person thousand miles away from you? Or even listen to his/her voice. Keep apart the technology, God has himself given so many blessings, To see, To hear, To taste, To Smell and To move.

Beauty is in the eye of person watching. It’s just that we grow up, and we grow up so habitual to these nature’s virtues that we forget to thank god for all the blessings he has given to us. This post is not to put in any religious thought into your mind. Think of it this way,

God has given us with a Heart, to feel, what eyes cannot see, and what ears cannot listen to. And then he has given us with a mind, which calculates millions of combinations at a milli second that even a fastest of super computer is not capable of.

We must not see our life as a monotonous trail, but treat each passing minute as a blessing, as an adventure of journey, god has provided us with. Think, not like a man filled in with all worldly knowledge, but as a child, who see the miracle is growing of a tree, and get amazed when his sweet puppy jumps up in his lap and adore the charm of the moment. 🙂
