Few days back, the place I go for my morning walk, some people came and make temporary encroachments. There were men , women, children and there were their dogs, cows and buffalo. This is how a rural life came to existence in my neighborhood. These people, they live in open, they cook in open, and they even discrete their waste in open. The kids were fragile and fit and grown ups worked a lot harder then those living in the city. No education though, real life was teaching them with practical experiences. And what education has though taught the ordinary anyhow. Rigorous lifestyle takes up their physical activities, It actually is envious to see their boundary less apartments. No gizmos who tie up you to the power connections. water came from the nearby fire-station, electricity was never actually required.I wouldn’t compromise to live life their way, because i have been educated this way. But I am sure they were enjoying their life very much.
There must have been misery i am sure. Poverty takes up a lot from your life. But for this one post i want to concentrate on the blissful peace of mind they enjoy. Hardly anything they depends upon. NO bank loan, which bank would give loan to these homeless anyhow. Their kids abide by what elders say, while our kids would rarely listen to the parents.Food is only thing which they require, and that’s only what they work for. On the other hand we would be working for our bills, our education , our bosses our loans etc etc. I actually seem to be enjoying what i see there. A blissful tension free life.
- True life happens at places with least resources.
This morning when i went for the walk, the encampments were not there. They were gone, the “Banjaras” i believe some society people might have complained about their unpaid accommodations. After-all it is a mater of being envy that while we were required to pay healthy money to live their, how can someone enjoy the royalties of boundary free living halls. The place is vacated once again, with a few signs of human presence. Life moves on…
Fun Way: My mama was so cheap, she waited ’til after Christmas. ‘Baby, Santa Claus missed our house. I called him, and he coming back tomorrow.’ She was waiting for the stuff to go on sale.
